This is my first purchase of an American Girl doll. She is certainly not the run of the mill play doll. I purchased it for my little granddaughter for Christmas. I thought it a great way to introduce her along with her brother to the Native American Indians. I grew up watching cowboys & Indians on the tv but realized that times are different today & parents are caught up in Leap Frog. One day I said something to my grandson about a teepee & he asked "what's a teepee grandma?" Well that was my idea for Kaya & to buy him a teepee for his birthday next week. It never fails... Amazon has it all & sellers are tops and can't be beat.American Girl doll is a beautiful rendition of a Native American.there is a reason this doll has been a favorite since the 1980's.Granddaughter likes itIn loved it I used it for my collectionI just received this doll and thank god I didn't have to pay full price! It's a pretty doll and well made but I don't think it's worth the price! For the prices I've seen I think it should AT LEAST come with more accessories other than a book! I hope my daughter loves this cause I'm spending a small fortune just to get accessories to go with the already over priced doll. I don't think I'll be purchasing any more American Girl products..This doll was exactly as advertised and well received by my granddaughter .I was very pleased with it very well made and realisticone of the best American Girl Dolls my granddaughter loved her
